With a unique “Dual Flow Technology TM” design Filtramag+ is the most efficient filter of its type available. The dual flow design ensures that fluid is exposed to the high intensity magnets for the maximum time, thus ensuring almost 100% of ferrous contamination is removed on the first pass.

How Filtramag+ works

Fluid enters through the inlet and flows up through the primary filtration chamber, it then flows down through the secondary filtration chamber, Fluid then passes through an optional mesh screen which removes non-magnetic debris. The patented magnetic circuit design ensures that the filter can never block even in high contamination applications. The magnetic cores can be removed easily by hand and cleaned with the tool supplied. As an option a spare magnetic cartridge can be supplied to ensure production continuity.

Technical Data

Micromag is the latest generation of magnetic filter, used to remove ferrous or para-magnetic contamination from fluids and is capable of sub-micron filtration levels with minimal pressure drop, the unit is especially effective with machine tool oils & coolants.

Unlike conventional filters, Micromag is not particle size sensitive; if the particle is magnetic, no matter how small (even sub micronic) the Micromag will remove it! The system incorporates the most powerful, natural Rare Earth Magnetic material to produce extreme magnetic flux fields removing metal debris from the oil. These systems are often used as a pre-filter to limit contaminants reaching subsequent filtration equipment.

Magnetic Filtration can be used to remove 100% ferrous particles down to sub-micron levels from all industrial fluids where ferrous and Para-magnetic contamination of a liquid is a problem.

The removal of these particles results in longer fluid life improves the surface finish of your products, increases component accuracy and reduces wear on your machinery and tool.

Unlike other types of filtration, once magnetic filtration is installed there is no recurring costs as there are "no consumables".

Technical Data

The Micromag HP50 has all the same benefits of the standard Micromag but has been developed to suit high pressure through-spindle-coolant applications, where the smallest of particles can damage seals, spindles and even reduce the efficiency of the cutting tool.

Micromag HP50 can be installed anywhere in the fluid delivery system and will ensure that even sub-micron magnetic and para-magnetic particles are removed before they can cause any expensive damage.

Cleaning

• Using the supplied cleaning tool, a fully contaminated core can be cleaned in under 30 seconds. Only metallic particles are removed from the filter and these can be easily disposed. There are no dirty cartridges.
